Our Lady of Lourdes dropped their record down to 5-5 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Roosevelt Presidents by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Roosevelt, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since May 20, 2024.

For Roosevelt's part, Tyler Nolen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on one hit. Nolen also tossed two walks, which is notable because the Presidents are undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, John Theysohn was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Michael Cowles, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

While Our Lady of Lourdes had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
