The Slidell Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Ponchatoula Green Wave at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Slidell came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 10-1 margin over the Eagles.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Ponchatoula made sure to put some runs up on the board against Mandeville on Wednesday. Ponchatoula never let Mandeville onto the board and left with a 12-0 win.
Sydni Stanga made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Stanga was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.
