Basketball Recap: Gladstone Comes Up Short

Gladstone was the 50-41 winner over Pendleton when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Gladstone Gladiators fell 57-46 to the Pendleton Buckaroos on Saturday. The Gladiators' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Gladstone's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pendleton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.

Gladstone will be taking part in a tournament against Astoria at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pendleton, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Marist at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pendleton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Marist likes a good challenge.
