Lake Wales is a perfect 3-0 against Discovery since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lake Wales Highlanders will welcome the Discovery Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lake Wales came up short against Lakeland Christian on Friday, falling 12-2. The Highlanders have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Max Seidel was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk).

Meanwhile, Discovery came up short against St. Petersburg Catholic on Monday and fell 7-2. The loss was the Spartans' first of the season.

Discovery saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edrick Rivera, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lake Wales fell to 2-1. As for Discovery, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Lake Wales was able to grind out a solid victory over Discovery when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 5-2. Will Lake Wales repeat their success, or does Discovery have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
