Volleyball Recap: Santiago Extends Winning Streak to Four

Santiago came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mira Mesa Marauders by a score of 2-0.

Santiago can attribute much of their success to Sophia Martinez, who had eight assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Martinez a new career-high.

Santiago now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Mira Mesa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.

Santiago wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Liberty on the 10th. As for Mira Mesa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Steele Canyon on the 10th.
