Basketball Recap: PARKER COOK Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Baker

Huntley Project won against St. Labre Indian Catholic last Saturday with 84 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Everything went the Huntley Project Red Devils' way against the Baker Spartans as the Huntley Project Red Devils made off with an 84-59 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-23.

Huntley Project's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was PARKER COOK, who went 10 for 23 en route to 31 points. COOK is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. ANDERSON MCNIVEN was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.

Huntley Project was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Huntley Project is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.8 points per game. As for Baker, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Huntley Project will head out to challenge Lame Deer at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive. As for Baker, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-36 loss against Lodge Grass on the 18th.
