Volleyball Recap: Symmes Valley Takes a Loss

Symmes Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Western Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

While Symmes Valley was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Western's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-14, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Aubrey Penwell, who had nine digs and three aces.

Symmes Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Western, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Symmes Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Northwest on the 8th. As for Western, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Oak Hill on the 9th.
