Basketball Recap: San Leandro Comes Up Short

San Leandro lost against Archbishop Mitty back in December of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Leandro Pirates were dealt a 79-47 loss at the hands of the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1001st, while the Monarchs are ranked 105th).

San Leandro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Archbishop Mitty, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

San Leandro has already played their next match, a 58-55 win against Las Lomas on the 28th. As for Archbishop Mitty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-56 loss against Oakland Tech on the 28th.
