Basketball Recap: La Lumiere Blue Lakers vs. LaVille Lancers
On Thursday, La Lumiere Blue strolled past the Lancers with points to spare, taking the game 59-43. La Lumiere Blue pushed the score to 53-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lancers cut but never quite recovered from.
Despite the loss, LaVille still got an impressive performance from Michael Good, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braedyn Foster, who scored five points along with six rebounds and three steals.
La Lumiere Blue's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-6. As for LaVille, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Lumiere Blue won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Defenders at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Heritage Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Lakers are ranked 137th). As for LaVille, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
