Recap: Plant City Raiders vs. East Bay Indians
The Plant City Raiders were the 45-36 winner over the East Bay Indians when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Plant City took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Bay.
Plant City's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexi Alvarez, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Yadira Rivas was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Plant City's loss was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-14. As for East Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Plant City will head out on the road to take on Steinbrenner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Steinbrenner presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Plant City in Florida (Steinbrenner is ranked 163rd, while Plant City is ranked 593rd). As for East Bay, they will be playing at home against Armwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Armwood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
