Basketball Recap: Tullahoma Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Tullahoma rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against Fayette Ware by a score of 67-58. The win was familiar territory for Tullahoma, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Tullahoma had a senior duo take command as Khani Johnson shot 53% from the field on his way to 23 points and five rebounds and Xavier Farrell posted 21 points. Farrell's big performance that evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Thompson, who scored eight points and seven boards.

Despite the loss, Fayette Ware still got an impressive performance from Tarecous Stevens, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Stevens has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 20 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylon Terry, who put up 13 points.

Tullahoma's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 32-4. As for Fayette Ware, they moved to 28-6 with that defeat, which also ended their 20-game winning streak.

Coming up, Tullahoma and Upperman will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Fayette Ware does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
