Baseball Recap: Berchmans Academy Takes a Loss

Berchmans Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Breaux Bridge Tigers, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 back in February.

Berchmans Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Breaux Bridge, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7-1.

Looking ahead, Berchmans Academy will challenge West St. Mary at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. West St. Mary has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.88 runs per game on average), something Berchmans Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Breaux Bridge, they will take on Opelousas Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Opelousas Catholic will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Breaux Bridge surely won't give up without a fight.
