Football Recap: Perry Hall Gators vs. Manchester Valley Mavericks
Perry Hall took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They really took it to the Manchester Valley Mavericks for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-6 victory at home. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Mavericks are ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Perry Hall can attribute much of their success to Terrell Hearn, who threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Hearn has posted since back in October of 2023.
Perry Hall wouldn't let Manchester Valley keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Damilare Ojo, Vernon Allen, and CJ Crump Jr. picked up one apiece.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry Hall will face off against Western Tech & Environmental Science at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Manchester Valley, they will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against North Hagerstown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
