Basketball Game Preview: Page Sand Devils vs. Benjamin Franklin Chargers

The Page Sand Devils will face off against the Benjamin Franklin Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Page is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Page beat Snowflake 48-38.

It was another big night for Tyree Stingley, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maximus Reid, who posted three points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Franklin came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Sentinels with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. While the Chargers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Page is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Benjamin Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Page came out on top in a nail-biter against Benjamin Franklin in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, sneaking past 50-47. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Benjamin Franklin's Cameron Bender, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Saturday, will it be easier for Page to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
