Recap: Grace Christian Crusader vs. Southern Christian Patriots
This season hasn't been kind to the Grace Christian Crusader, who are still winless after their tenth match. They fell 64-56 to Southern Christian on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Grace Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Fitch, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Fitch scored 15 or more points. Noah Farnsworth was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Grace Christian bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Southern Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will take on Victory Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southern Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Central HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m.
