Softball Recap: Arlington Lions vs. Poly Bears
Arlington had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 8-9 to make it five. They lost 14-3 to the Poly Bears. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in May of 2021.
Delaney Perez and Ryleigh Pliego did some serious damage despite the final result: Perez went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Pliego went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
As for Poly, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
On Poly's side, Marley Audoma made a splash while hitting and pitching.
