Baseball Recap: Thomas A. Edison Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Thomas A. Edison couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against Masterman on Thursday, falling 12-2. The Owls were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but Masterman's pitchers proved too tough.

Erick Torres-Brito made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Janzel Berrios, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Thomas A. Edison's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3. As for Masterman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6-1.
