Soccer Game Preview: Bartow vs. Osceola

The Bartow Yellow Jackets will square off against the Osceola Kowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Bartow's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Osceola has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Bartow is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against George Jenkins on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Eagles are ranked 63rd).

Meanwhile, Osceola can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They never let Liberty onto the board and left with an 8-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Kowboys' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Liberty from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Emerlyn Albarran led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Osceola's victory bumped their record up to 4-9-1. As for Bartow, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
