Volleyball Recap: North Posey Has No Trouble Against Pike Central

North Posey won the last time they faced Pike Central and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chargers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant North Posey was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-5.

North Posey had a senior duo take command as Addie Murphy had 16 digs and Mallory Luigs had 13 digs and one assist. Luigs has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 30 times she's played.

North Posey was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 23 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

North Posey's record is now 10-2. As for Pike Central, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

North Posey has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Evansville Reitz on the 16th. As for Pike Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Princeton on the 16th.
