Volleyball Recap: Pomperaug Panthers vs. Masuk Panthers

After flying high against Brookfield on Tuesday, Pomperaug came back down to earth. Pomperaug lost 3-0 to Masuk on Wednesday. If Pomperaug was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Masuk when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Pomperaug ultimately came up short, they really made Masuk work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 25-23.

Rylen Brennan paced Pomperaug's offense, picking up 12 kills. Brennan got some help from Tripp Latta and his 30 assists. Finally, Ty Rogerson kept Pomperaug's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Nathan Kurkoski was the offensive standout of the game as he had eight digs and six aces. Those six aces gave him a new career-high.
