Basketball Recap: Desert Sunrise Comes Up Short

Desert Sunrise lost against Goldwater back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Goldwater Bulldogs. The Golden Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Desert Sunrise's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Goldwater, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Desert Sunrise and Moon Valley will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Desert Sunrise is facing Moon Valley at the right time seeing as Moon Valley is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Goldwater, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenway at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
