Basketball Recap: Grovetown Takes a Loss

Grovetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 81-45 loss at the hands of the Grayson Rams. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-25.

Grovetown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being McKenna Middleton, who went 6 of 9 en route to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecka Jones, who posted five points and eight assists.

Grovetown's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Grayson, their victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1.

Grovetown and Grayson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Grovetown (ranked 125th) will meet Heritage (ranked 265th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Grayson will take on South Gwinnett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 192 places (4 vs. 196).
