The First Academy got themselves on the board against Windermere Prep on Friday, but Windermere Prep never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Windermere Prep Lakers with a sharp 12-0 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Royals this season.

The First Academy got a great performance from Kyle Hopper as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Remo Indomenico, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Blake Fields, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

The First Academy's record is now 3-1. As for Windermere Prep, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

The First Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-3 win against South Dade on the 22nd. As for Windermere Prep, they will square off against Cornerstone Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
