The Syrupmakers hit the Trojans with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dray Bass, Samuel Gomez, and Edward Barrios.

Meanwhile, after a string of 11 wins, Lee County's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Veterans by a score of 2-1.

Lee County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 11-2. As for Cairo, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
