Cape Elizabeth won the last time they faced Wells and things went their way on Thursday too. The Capers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warriors 3-2.

Cape Elizabeth wouldn't go down easily and took Wells into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-10, 17-25, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Wells lost, don't look at Mila Mustacka. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs. Another player making a difference was Autumn Leslie, who had 17 assists and 16 digs.

Cape Elizabeth's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Elizabeth will welcome Messalonskee at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Wells, after both having extra time off, they and Gray-New Gloucester will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
