Basketball Recap: Lincoln Falls Short Against Ranked Barrington

On Tuesday, Lincoln faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lincoln Lions took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barrington Eagles. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barrington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Rigamonti out in front who posted 22 points. Those 22 points gave Rigamonti a new career-high. Caleb Satisfield was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Lincoln's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for Barrington, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Lincoln will venture away from home to square off against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln is facing Smithfield at the right time seeing as Smithfield is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Barrington, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Westerly at 7:00 p.m.
