 It was a good run, but  Miller unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost  7-1 to the Stockton Tigers. Miller was red-hot at the plate headed into the  matchup (they scored no less than ten  runs in the four  contests prior) but Stockton's pitcher proved too tough.
  Victoria Hollister spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and five unearned) runs on ten hits.
 On the hitting side, Miller saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Loghann Leivan, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Miller's loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 16-6. As for Stockton, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record  this season.
 Miller will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Rich Hill at 6:30  p.m. As for Stockton, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Skyline at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
