Basketball Recap: Lee Holopirek Key Part of a Team Effort in Leopards Win

LaCrosse won the last time they faced Otis-Bison and things went their way on Saturday too. The LaCrosse Leopards came out on top against the Otis-Bison Cougars by a score of 57-48.

LaCrosse's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lee Holopirek, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 20 points and seven assists. With that strong performance, Holopirek is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Rush, who went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

LaCrosse's record now sits at 7-4. As for Otis-Bison, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

LaCrosse has already played their next game, a 52-37 defeat against St. John on the 30th. As for Otis-Bison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-18 loss against Dighton on the 28th.
