Port Jefferson lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pierson, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Royals were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Whalers on Friday. The Royals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Port Jefferson's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Pierson, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Coincidentally, Port Jefferson and Pierson will both be playing Mattituck the next time they take the field. The Whalers will host the Tuckers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Royals will host them at 4:00 p.m. on May 6.
