Basketball Game Preview: Uxbridge Spartans vs. Oxford Pirates

The Uxbridge Spartans will venture away from home to take on the Oxford Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Uxbridge will be strutting in after a victory while Oxford will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Uxbridge humbled Whitinsville Christian with a 56-16 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Oxford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Northbridge and fell 48-19.

Uxbridge now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Oxford, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Uxbridge against Oxford in their previous matchup back in February, as the squad secured a 53-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Uxbridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
