Recap: Bunn Wildcats vs. Louisburg Warriors
The Bunn Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Louisburg, falling 28-0. Bunn lost against Louisburg in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 13-6 score last time.
Donte' Strickland jr was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 105 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Eddie, who gained 130 total yards and a touchdown.
Bunn's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.7 points per game. As for Louisburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
Bunn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Louisburg will look to defend their home field on Friday against Northwood at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Northwood is ranked 301st, while Louisburg is ranked 282nd).
