Basketball Game Preview: Calverton vs. King's Christian Academy Eagles

Calverton is 2-8 against King's Christian Academy since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Calverton will host the King's Christian Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m.

Calverton is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game back in December of 2024. They were dealt a 65-30 loss at the hands of Southern.

Despite the defeat, Calverton had strong showings from Lauren Krukar, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Reagan Krukar, who posted 14 points and five boards. Lauren is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King's Christian Academy). Everything went their way against Clinton Grace Christian on Friday as King's Christian Academy made off with a 61-41 win. King's Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for King's Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-6. As for Calverton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
