Football Recap: Peachtree Ridge Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Peachtree Ridge had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 45-17 loss at the hands of the Roswell Hornets on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Hornets are ranked 20th).

Despite the loss, Peachtree Ridge still got an impressive performance from Rayshaun Parks, who rushed for 83 yards, and also threw for 203 yards while completing 94.7% of his passes. Parks' longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. 126 of Parks' passing yards were hauled in by Kobe Adeleke-Hokes.

Trey Smith had an outrageously good game for Roswell as he rushed for 100 yards and two scores, and also threw for 202 yards and a pair of TDs.

Peachtree Ridge has already played their next game, a 31-6 win against Piper on the 21st. As for Roswell, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Walton at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
