Recap: Danbury Hatters vs. Westhill Vikings

The third road matchup was the charm for The Danbury Hatters, as they earned their first road win of the season. They enjoyed a cozy 38-20 win over Westhill on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Danbury, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

John Bardin was a one-man wrecking crew for Danbury as he rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 85 receiving yards. Brayden Boswell made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Danbury's victory bumped their record up to 3-3. As for Westhill, their defeat was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-6.

Danbury will take on Staples at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Staples presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Danbury in Connecticut (Staples is ranked 12th, while Danbury is ranked 64th). As for Westhill, they will head out on the road to face off against Ridgefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Ridgefield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four on Friday.
