Volleyball Recap: Brainerd Find Success

Brainerd picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Paynesville Bulldogs.

Brainerd never let Paynesville on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22.

Brainerd found their leader in sophomore Bella Goggleye, who had four digs and one block. Goggleye also set a new season-high mark in assists with 15.

Brainerd's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Paynesville, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Brainerd didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Pequot Lakes on the 6th. As for Paynesville, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Annandale on the 9th.
