Dardanelle had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 50-39 victory over the Mena Bearcats. Given the Sand Lizards' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Bearcats are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dardanelle's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Mena, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Dardanelle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-34 victory against Clarksville on the 24th. Mena has also already played their next game (against Ozark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
