There's no place like home for Clinton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Onsted Wildcats a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Redwolves have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Taryn Hernandez made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Cora Harsh was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lola Szczesniak, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
