Soccer Game Preview: Brenham vs. Montgomery

The Brenham Cubs and the Montgomery Bears will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle. Brenham is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Brenham came up short against College Station on Friday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 625th, while the Cougars are ranked 151st).

Meanwhile, Montgomery has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 28. They fell just short of College Station by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Lukas Hosler, who's now up to five this season.

Brenham's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Montgomery, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
