Pelion came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Silver Bluff Bulldogs 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Pelion never let Silver Bluff on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 26-24.

Alexia Hansen paced Pelion's offense, picking up nine kills. Hansen got some help from Hayley Maxwell and her nine assists. Maxwell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Pelion's win bumped their record up to 6-2-1. As for Silver Bluff, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Pelion will venture away from home to take on Mid-Carolina at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Silver Bluff and Newberry will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
