Football Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Manchester fell victim to Upson-Lee and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 27-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Upson-Lee was led to victory by Jy Garmon and Nicholas Wells. Garmon rushed for 181 yards and one TD while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, while Wells rushed for 35 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Upson-Lee, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will host Macon County at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. After each having a week off, Upson-Lee and Spalding will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. The game will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
