Softball Game Preview: Gilmer Buckeyes vs. Carthage Bulldogs

Gilmer's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Kilgore with a sharp 21-0 victory. The Buckeyes' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Carthage's hitters rose to the challenge against a Lions pitching crew that boasted an average of only 2.57 runs allowed on Tuesday. Carthage blew past Henderson 12-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bulldogs have posted against the Lions since March 26, 2018.

Gilmer is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2-2 record this season.
