Blythewood faced West Florence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bengals beat the Knights by a goal, winning 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Blythewood sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Regan Flynn and Ayres Ava scored both of Blythewood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Blythewood pushed their record up to 14-1-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six matchups. As for West Florence, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.

Coincidentally, Blythewood and West Florence will both be playing Ridge View the next time they take the pitch. The Bengals will head out to face the Blazers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Knights will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
