Methuen entered their tilt with Boston College High on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Rangers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Methuen had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21.

Methuen's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Boston College High, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Methuen and Lincoln-Sudbury will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boston College High, they will challenge Milford at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Scarlet Hawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
