Recap: John F. Kennedy Rockets vs. Cuero Gobblers
The John F. Kennedy Rockets were the 51-37 winner over the Cuero Gobblers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. John F. Kennedy took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cuero.
John F. Kennedy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaylon Hudson, who scored 14 points along with four steals, and Phillip Magallanez who scored 11 points along with five assists and five steals. Tanyi Leverett was another key contributor, scoring five points.
John F. Kennedy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-17 record this season. As for Cuero, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John F. Kennedy will take on La Vernia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Vernia will roll in looking for their 29th straight victory, something John F. Kennedy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cuero, they will be playing at home against San Antonio Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
