Warren Township extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Aaron Stewart. The Blue Devils walked away with a 27-17 win over the Lake Zurich Bears on Friday for which the team can thank Stewart, who rushed for 337 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 17th straight game with at least 113 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Lake Zurich still got an impressive performance from Christopher Chang, who picked up 113 receiving yards and one score.

Warren Township's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Lake Zurich, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Warren Township is set to face off against their familiar foe Libertyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake Zurich will take on rival Stevenson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bears 9.8, the Patriots 14.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
