Football Game Preview: Waterville Panthers vs. Mt. Ararat Eagles + How To Watch

The Waterville Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Mt. Ararat Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waterville has given up an average of 41.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Waterville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Houlton, who was ranked 15th at the time (Waterville was ranked 19th). The matchup between the Panthers and the Shiretowners didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 38-22.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Ararat). They blew past Lake Region 58-22 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win was the third in a row for Mt. Ararat, bringing their record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Waterville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
