Basketball Recap: Midlothian Comes Up Short

Midlothian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cosby Titans. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Titans are ranked 113th).

Midlothian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Cosby, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

While Midlothian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
