After flying high against Grain Valley last Saturday, Battle came back down to earth. The Battle Spartans' rough 11-1 loss to the Fulton Hornets on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Battle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fulton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

For Fulton's part, Ethan Milius was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Milius was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
