Basketball Recap: Lewis J. Bennett Comes Up Short

Lewis J. Bennett lost against McKinley back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers were beaten by the Macks 94-59. The loss put an end to the Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Habeeb Abdul, who shot 56% from the field en route to 22 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Jr Dante, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 18 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lewis J. Bennett fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Lewis J. Bennett will be playing at home against Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McKinley, they will square off against Canisius at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
