Soccer Recap: Steele Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Steele was not quite Bowie's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Steele can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Bowie are ranked 36th).

Steele's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for Bowie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-0-2 record this season.

Steele will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Del Valle at 6:30 p.m. As for Bowie, they will head out to face off against Hendrickson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
